Master’s-Level Intern Counseling Services
Mara Grace Counseling offers affordable counseling with master’s-level student interns, expanding access to care while supporting the development of future counselors.

Intern counseling sessions: $45 or $60 a session based on our sliding fee scale.

Reduced fees may be available based on financial need and availability.

Our master’s-level interns:

• Are enrolled in graduate counseling programs and have completed coursework and clinical training appropriate to their placement.

• Receive ongoing clinical supervision from Dr. Mara Mesa, a Florida Board-Approved Qualified Supervisor.

• Collaborate with Dr. Mesa on individualized treatment plans and interventions.

• Follow professional ethical and confidentiality standards, including requirements for supervised clinical practice.

Although Dr. Mesa is not present during intern sessions, she reviews session notes and provides individualized feedback, consultation, and training to support each intern’s clinical work.
 

Self-Pay Rates with Dr. Mara Mesa

• Individual therapy — 50 minutes     $150 for new clients

• Substance use evaluation — 2 hours    $250

• Comprehensive mental health evaluation — 2 hours $250

• Extended EMDR session — 90 minutes to 2 hours $200–$250
   

Fees for extended EMDR sessions will be confirmed before scheduling.
Existing clients should confirm their current rate with the office.

Payment Information

A valid credit card on file is required to reserve an appointment. We accept:

• Credit and debit cards

• HSA/FSA cards for eligible services

• Cash

Payment is due at the time of your appointment unless arrangements have been made in advance.
 

Cancellation and Missed Appointment Policy

Please cancel or reschedule at least 24 hours before your appointment.

Late cancellations and missed appointments are subject to a $100 fee.

Repeated cancellations or missed appointments may affect our ability to hold your recurring appointment time. Please contact the office if scheduling difficulties arise so we can discuss available options.
